CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.6.RP.A.2 Understand the concept of a unit rate a/b associated with a ratio a:b with b ≠ 0, and use rate language in the context of a ratio relationship.

Students are given a ratio about cookies on plates and are asked to find the unit rate. Students are then given a question where they have to find a unit rate of chocolate chips per cookie.
Cookie Monster is having a cookie party. He has 48 cookies and 4 plates. He wants to make sure each plate has the same number of cookies. How many cookies per plate?
When Cookie Monster makes cookies he plans on having 336 chocolate chips for every 2 dozen cookies.

Find the number of chocolate chips per cookie.
168 chocolate chips per cookie
14 chocolate chips per cookie
71 chocolate chips per cookie
28 chocolate chips per cookie
