Use the virtual microscope to find a good picture of onion root tip cells going through the stages of mitosis.
Next, choose either a light microscope or cell phone lens to find a good picture of onion root tip cells.
Create a data table using the virtual microscope as "sample 1" and the microscope/lens as "sample 2"
Create a data table for each sample that shows:
Total number of cells
Number of cells in :
Prophase
Metaphase
Anaphase
Telophase
Interphase

Copy and paste your data table below

Next, collect the data from every other team in class and create a new data table which includes both samples from every Team.
Team 1, Sample A/Sample B
Prophase
Metaphase
Anaphase
Telophase
Interphase
Team 2, Sample A/Sample B
Prophase
Metaphase
Anaphase
Telophase
Interphase
And so on… Paste a copy of your data table below

Create anew table which shows the everage for each phase from Sample A and Sample B
Averages Sample A Sample B
Prophase # #
Metaphase # #
Anaphase # #
Telophase # #
Interphase # #
Paste your table below

Greater a graph which compares Sample A and Sample B for each phase of mitosis.
Paste a copy below

Order the phases of mitosis in order of how much time they spend in that phase.

Write a summery of you findings which explains the following:
2pts) What the data shows
1pt) why you ordered the phases as you did in the question 7
1pt) what is happening in each phase that would make either occur quickly or slowly.

Why is an onion root tip an ideal sample to study mitosis? Does the unique sections that makes it an ideal sample to study give false results? explain
